The joy of being a printmaker is evident in my art and residencies. The basic
reason I am an Artist in Residence is about the celebration of being an artist.
I am proud to be an artist and educator. Everyday I try to find new ways to
celebrate art through creative choices. Through meditation and guided imagery I
find my subjects, colors and intent of expression. It starts with being thankful
for my materials. While I am with my students I have an unconditional positive
regard for “ALL” students. I make my classes a celebration toward creative
expression. In printmaking you can use extreme drawing skills or no drawing
skills. With older students there can be complex techniques and with very
younger students every thing is simplified.
